2019 “An Anagram” Barossa Valley Shiraz - 6 pack
2018 was a pleasant return to all that reminded us of what growing up South Australian was all about. Elevated Spring temperatures and some “regular scorchers” periodically through January led to moderate “Return to school” temperature for the duration of February. It was a sun-kissed vintage but our Marananga vines weathered it well and produced some delightful fruit with seasoned tannins …. not unlike those beach tans that didn’t fade until Easter. The fruit is intense “Quink – Parker Ink” ripe with dark plums subtended with cocoa powder tannins with excellent vibrancy and the life of a cheeky school-boy grin. The palate is as supple a Kangaroo-kip leather riding boot, light weight but durable and ready for a long ride in the saddle tailing a big mob into the sunset back to the homestead yard ….. as HJ once said “So Australian, Roy!!”
Music: “Welcome Back (Kotter)” by John Sebastian – previously of the “Loving Spoonful”
Read: “Red Dog” by Louis de Bernieres ….. 2018 welcomed our new red dog “Juno” to Jenke Road … our original Kelpie “Musty” lives on through her boundless enthusiasm!!
