2017 “41 Across” Barossa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2017 Barossa growing season mirrored the milder and moister climes of the classic Cabernet coastal regions of Bordeaux and Margaret River. The Jenke Road Cabernet block thrived in the long, cool ripening season and was harvested in the third week of April. The fruit showed all the complexity of classic briary bush, blackcurrant, blackberry, dried sage, rosemary, and alluring finesse of delicately granular tannins. Kept on skins for 12 days and matured in French oak barrels (25% new) for 12 months, this wine has graduated top of its class …. Dux of Marananga!
