2016 “An Anagram” Barossa Valley Shiraz

A persistently warm and dry growing season was punctuated by a welcome late January rain. This set the vines on a path to ripen the fruit throughout mild, cool weeks leading to harvest. Hand-picked in the last week of February and gloriously fermented on skins for 12 days. Pressed dry and racked clean for malo in tank, then matured in French barrels for 12 months. Unfiltered and unfined, this wine expresses the essences of its vineyard and vintage… Tentatively poised yet bestowing a relaxed alacrity. Great for dinner conversation and philosophical insight.
